Back-to-School opportunities converging

Helping abused and neglected kids make the grade

Several opportunities to help abused and neglected kids get off to a great start this school year are converging. Project Apple Tree at Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville lets you pick a Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter resident and buy school supplies/outfits for him or her (like Project Angel Tree at Christmastime). The deadline is 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12.

And now you can save some money while buying those school supplies/clothes for our kids! On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 4-5, you can buy school supplies and certain clothing without having to pay Arkansas sales tax, thanks to the Arkansas Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday!
