Undies Drive

The Children’s Shelter is always in need of new undergarments for the kids. You can help by collecting the following items:

  • Diapers and pull-ups
  • Preschool boys and girls underwear, sizes 2T-5T
  • Boys’ underwear and undershirts, sizes 6-18
  • Girls’ underwear and tank-tops, sizes 6-16
  • Teen girls’ underwear, junior sizes 5-10 (but no briefs, please)
  • Teen girls’ tank-tops, sizes small-2XL
  • Bras (training bras – 40DD)
  • Sports bras
  • White athletic socks (boys’ and girls’)

Beauty Drive

Sometimes to feel beautiful on the inside, you need to feel beautiful on the outside. Help our kids feel beautiful (and handsome) by collecting the following new items:

  • Make-up
  • Hair brushes, combs, and picks for all ages
  • Hair dryers
  • Hair straighteners and curlers
  • Hair accessories (clips, bands, pins, etc.) for all ages
  • Hair care products (hair sprays, gels, etc.)
  • Small hair rubber bands for braiding
  • Ethnic hair care products
  • Nail polish and nail polish remover
  • Manicure/ pedicure kits
  • Body lotions, soaps, sprays and scrubs
  • Razors and shaving cream

Squeaky Clean Drive

Many of the kids who stay at the Children’s Shelter have not had the opportunity to learn proper personal hygiene. While at the Children’s Shelter they can learn important skills like brushing teeth, washing hands and bathing regularly. You can help them stay clean and healthy by collecting the following items:

  • Toothbrushes for infants, toddlers, youth and teens
  • Toothpaste for infant, toddlers, youth and teens
  • Dental floss
  • Travel containers for soap and shampoos
  • Body lotion
  • Soap and body wash
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Anti-bacterial hand soap
  • Facial cleansers and scrubs for teens
  • Acne medicine for teens
  • Deodorant for boys and girls
  • Tampons/ sanitary napkins for teens

Healthy and Happy Drive

With a capacity of 48 children, we have a high likelihood of having sick kids. To help us keep the kids at the Children’s Shelter healthy and happy, you can collect the following first-aid and healthcare items:

  • Infant and Children’s Acetaminophen (Tylenol)  and Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
  • Regular-strength Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen
  • Naproxen (Aleve)
  • Loratadine (Claritin)
  • Cetirizine (Zyrtec)
  • Benadryl
  • Cough and cold medicine for all ages
  • Midol
  • Children and teen multi-vitamins

Through our case management program, our case managers work individually with each child to help them set and meet personal goals, build relationships and focus on strengths. The following items are used to reward children in meeting a personal goal as well as to help them focus on and capture personal strengths, desires and dreams:
